Laura Hill, President of BellSouth Georgia Chapter’s
South Side Council, wrote the following about Life Member Juanita Hunt:
“Juanita is responsible for promoting two
Project:Connect venues: East Clayton Elementary and Edmonds Elementary.
She claimed to know nothing about computers, technology, or
Project:Connect, but in keeping with the Georgia Chapter theme, “Helping
Georgia’s Children.” she decided to get involved.
After Southside Council’s first Project:Connect
presentation at West Lake High School, Juanita learned to play one of
the games, E-Mail Connect, and insisted on meeting with the computer
specialist at East Clayton Elementary.
With her infectious smile and persistence, Juanita
scheduled the presentation. She then used the same procedure in
contacting a second school, Edmonds Elementary. She spoke with the
teachers and encouraged them to continuously use the program. Both
schools have received a great amount of hit because of this.
Thanks to Juanita, the Southside Council of the Bell
South Georgia 124 Pioneers, has made a difference and is “Helping
Georgia’s Children” learn lessons in technology.”
A special thanks goes out to Juanita from
the TCP Association Team
Juanita Hunt with partner, Aubrey
